The iconic Tiger Moth first took to the skies in 1931, and offers the ultimate vintage open cockpit experience. Our own beautiful aeroplane joined the RAF in 1940 and trained Allied pilots going on to fight in WWII in aircraft such as the Spitfire and Hurricane.
With a single Tiger Moth once based at RAF Eshott during WWII, now it’s your chance to experience a flight in this beautiful vintage machine. You’ll start your time with us in our incredibly rare WW2 Fordson truck where you’ll be briefed by pilots on this beautiful aircraft, the routes you’d like to take and the weather. You’ll be kitted out with a military flight suit As with all our flights, you’ll have the chance to see some of the most beautiful coastline that the UK has to offer. Choose from a 30 or 60 minute flight.
Family and friends are welcome to join you for the briefing and will be able to get up close with the Tiger on the ground. They’ll be able to stay at the airfield clubhouse overlooking the runway as you take to the skies. You can also book in on one of our hangar tours to see an insight into what goes on behind the scenes at Eshott Airfield.
Experiences are due to start from April 2022 and will run throughout the summer months. Winter months are generally spent on crew training and maintenance but check for availability.
